Morgan brings back its iconic Threewheeler for 2011

2011 morgan threewheeler
The Morgan Motor Company is bringing back its classic Threewheeler for 2011. The Morgan Threewheeler was an amazing design by engineer Harry Morgan and it became one of the most successful lightweight cars of the early days of motoring. Between 1909 and 1953, the British automaker made around 30,000 Morgan Threewheelers in Malvern and many more in France under license by Darmont Morgan. The tripod also won the French Grand Prix in 1913. Stirling Moss, who owned one of the beauties, is on record as saying “My Morgan was a great babe magnet”. The new 2011 Morgan Threewheeler combines state-of-the-art technology with classic design, and draws inspiration from the three-wheeled Morgan cyclecars of the early 1900s.
The 2011 Morgan Threewheeler boasts a Harley-Davidson 1800CC Screamin’ Eagle V-Twin that produces 100 hp at the rear wheel. The engine is mated to the five-speed manual transmission from a Mazda5. The trike goes from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 115 mph. The Morgan Threewheeler comes with a leather padded aircraft style cockpit and enjoys an aerodynamic super formed ‘bullet’ hull.
The new 2011 Morgan Threewheeler is available in a choice of 8 sporty colors, and you also have the options to go for bespoke modifications.
