With the G37 being powered by a 330 horsepower 3.7-liter V6 engine, the new Z-car would be designated the 370Z. The VQ37 engine that powers the G37 Coupe features Variable Valve Event and Lift (VVEL) and Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS). The engine currently produces a maximum 330 hp at 7,000 rpm and 270 lb-ft. of torque at 5,200 rpm. It is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters or a six-speed manual transmission in the G37. Whether Nissan opts to up the power out put by the time the new Z-car is revealed remain to be seen.© Source: modified.cars-blog
