(from Chrysler Press Release) The Exclusive STARTECH Program for the New-Generation Chrysler 300C
The Chrysler 300C continues its successful existence in an updated version. STARTECH (www.startech.de ) offers an exclusive and innovative customization program for the new generation 300C sedan and wagon.
STARTECH sport springs and rear shocks are specially calibrated to the sporty tires and the specific engine installed in a particular model. They lower the ride height of 300C sedan and wagon by some 40 millimeters and result in an excellent symbiosis of agile handling and high ride comfort.
The SD6 kit bumps power output of the 3.0-liter V6 common-rail turbodiesel engine from standard 218 hp (214 hp SAE net) / 160 kW to 262 hp (259 hp SAE net) / 193 kW at 4,000 rpm. Even more important for everyday driving is the increase in torque from 510 Nm to 580 Nm (376 to 428 lb-ft), available already between 1,600 and 2,800 rpm.
These impressive figures naturally benefit the performance of the Chrysler 300C 3.0 CRD. The sprint from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) is shortened from 7.6 (wagon: 7.9) seconds for the production car to 7.2 (Touring: 7.5) seconds with STARTECH SD6 tuning. Top speed grows to 238 (wagon: 232) km/h (149 and 145 mph).
The perfect complement to the performance tuning is the STARTECH sport exhaust system with its two characteristic oval chrome-plated tailpipes. The fully stainless-steel exhaust system produces a more sonorous but always unobtrusive exhaust note.
