TOKYO —
Suzuki has just introduced its
new WagonR variant, the Stingray, a highly derivative model that borrows its name from a legendary Corvette and its face from the outgoing Scion xB. The
new WagonR is on sale in Japan.
The base
WagonR Stingray is powered by a 54-horsepower 658cc three-cylinder engine. There is also an available turbo version that cranks out 60 horses and a direct-injection turbo that delivers 64 hp.
The latest version of the
WagonR gets standard HID lights, a new grille and bumper, an all-black cabin and 14-inch wheels. Black/bronze exterior paint is optional.
