Mazda3 MPS

There's a new entrant in the hot hatch 'who can pee highest' competition.
The Mazda 3 is looking to do the proverbial on the competition with a 256bhp turbocharged 2.3-litre engine.

Mazda isn't giving away too much on the performance front, but it has told us the Mazda3 MPS will hit 0-60mph in a fraction over six seconds and top out at 155mph when it arrives in the UK in February 2007.

The only other things it'll tell us at the moment are that the MPS will come with ABS, EBD, EBA, DSC, LSD and TCS. So, enough letters to keep Sesame Street in business for months.
