CHAMP CAR: Official Statement from Rocketsports Concerning Glock’s Accident During Milwaukee Testing

Milwaukee, Wisc. (May 3, 2005) – During the first day of a two-day test at the Milwaukee Mile in preparation for Round Three of the Bridgestone Presents The Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford Rocketsports driver Timo Glock was taken to the hospital after a hard hit this afternoon.

The back end of the car became loose on the rookie, causing him to loose control of this car backing into the wall between Turn Three and Four.

He was taken to the hospital after the incident, but was conscious and alert. A CAT scan was performed and came back clear. The young German is suffering from a headache and some body aches, but will be released from the hospital this evening.
