Mercedes-Benz’s philosophy of making a car suited for nearly every single person on earth has worked to a degree, except for the R-class MPV. But as these pictures prove,
Mercedes is apparently planing to give it another try with a new
R-class. This prototype was snapped in the U.S. by our photographers today and wears massive camouflage on front and rear.

It is rumoured the car will receive a front-end facelift in a style more we are more accustomed to, one that might resemble the more friendly B-class people mover. Whether or not a facelift will increase sales is still to be seen.
There are currently four variants of the R-class available. The R280 CDI, R320 CDI, R350, R500. The car retails from
$80,835 for the entry model and goes all the way to
$129,111 for the 5.5-litre V8.
