Volkswagen Phaeton back in the U.S next year? (U.S)
Volkswagen's "popular" flagship sedan was axed from the U.S line-up due to poor sales back in 2005, but it seems that the Phaeton could return in 2009. VW redesigned the Phaeton for 2008 and the updated has been met with great success in Europe, particularly in Germany, in fact, according to sale figures, the Phaeton sales were up over 45% through the first quarter of the year and VW's flagship model even out sold BMW's 7-Series in Germany.
