By Bruce F. MehlenbacherSeptember 5, 2005, London, ON - Fastline Motorsports team driver Jeff Lapcevich finished an impressive third at the APC 300 Great Canadian Race Weekend in the CASCAR Super Series, with his Tim Hortons - EMCEA Transport Fastline Motorsports Chevrolet Monte Carlo at Delaware Speedway in London last weekend.“Whenever you can finish on the podium at a CASCAR Super Series race at Delaware you’ve had a great day,” said Jeff Lapcevich. “Perseverance was the name of game, and although we had a few setbacks, we were able to get right back on track. I’m very happy. The #23 Tim Hortons - EMCEA Transport team had good race.”
Peter Gibbons won the APC 300 Great Canadian Race followed by Don Thomson Jr. and Jeff Lapcevich in third.
Jim Lapcevich finished a disappointing 29th after wrecking half-way into the race.
“The EMCEA Transport - Tim Hortons Chevrolet was running in top 10 most of the day,” said Jim Lapcevich. “The #25 team was right on its game, and our first pit stop was really rocket fast. It enabled us to get out front of a bunch of the competition but that’s where it all ended.”
The next CASCAR Super Series race will take place Saturday, September 10 at Cayuga Speedway located in Nelles Corners, Ontario on the 5/8th-mile oval.
