EDMONTON INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY: Saturday Night Race Event

September 7, 2005 – Western Canada's ONLY Paved 1/4 mile oval hosts an exciting night of racing every Saturday in September. Only 2 more events this year for the Lilydale NASCAR Dodge Weekly Racing Series Super Late Models. #33 Jeremy Lapainis leads the points with #07 Greg Moir very close behind. Jeremy is currently 14th in the NASCAR Region 2 Division, competing with other NASCAR racers throughout the U.S. and Eastern Canada.

In the K-Rock Thunder Car Division Rookie Thunder Car Racer #99 Lee Krause leads #10 Racer Roy Wallace. This weekend the Thunder Cars battle it out with a 100 Lap Special Event!

In the U-Pull-It Claimer Car Division #50 Marc Bouchard holds a strong lead over #7 Mike Elhard, both from Edmonton.

On Saturday, September 10th IMCA Modified Racers from all over Western Canada will be at Edmonton Int'l Raceway to compete in the 50 Lap Feature Event - the Wolff Pack Run with over $1500 to win for first place!

Edmonton Int'l Raceway is the only NASCAR Sanctioned Race Track in Western Canada and 1 of only 3 in all of Canada to be sanctioned with this giant stock car racing program.

Gates open at 4 pm on Saturday, September 10th and Racing starts right at 6:30 pm. To reach Edmonton Int'l Raceway - head south on Hwy 2 past Leduc, take the Hwy 2A exit to WETASKIWIN, approximately 20 minutes.

Saturday, September 24th - FASTER PASTOR RACE - a speed event for those of the cloth..... more information to come!
