SOD: Michigan Auto Racing Fan Club Honors SOD Champion and Promoter

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI – The Michigan Auto Racing Fan Club recently held its 39th Annual Awards Banquet at the “Imperial House” in Clinton Township, Michigan.



Two of Sprints On Dirt’s personalities were honored during the awards ceremony presided over by Club President Bill Barnhart.



Two time and defending SOD Champion Dustin Daggett picked up the Henry J. Fitzwater trophy for being named Michigan Racing Scenes “Driver of the Year” for 2005. Dustin became the first ever series driver (not a track champion) to win the award.



SOD President Jason Fausey became the first ever series promoter to win the Michigan Auto Racing Fan Club “Promoter of the Year” in the state of Michigan. He succeeded Joe Dewitte who was last years recipient.



The Michigan Auto Racing Fan Club meets monthly and is dedicated to the “Benefit and Betterment of Automobile Racing and Those Engaged Therein.”
