Skoda Octavia Green E Line Live in Paris 2010 Skoda creates tension

Octavia Green E Line Live in Paris 2010 Skoda creates tension
The study is based on the Skoda Octavia Combi. Because of its modular floor assembly to the production model is well suited for the installation of battery electronic control unit and electric motor. The electric motor in continuous operation 60 kilowatts, in the tip region to the engine power is 85 kilowatts. The maximum torque of 270 Newton meters is already in the drive due to start available. This is especially ideal for urban transport. The Octavia Green E Line accelerated in twelve seconds from 0 to 100 km / h. The top speed is limited to 135 mph.
The electrical energy involves the study of a lithium-ion battery. With a range of 140 kilometers, the needs of most commuters are met. The battery is made from 180 individual lithium ion cells with a diameter of 150 millimeters and a combined length of 650 mm. The battery has a rating of 26.5 kilowatt hours, the weight is around 315 kilograms. The battery pack is in the middle and rear vehicle ground and partially installed in the trunk. Thus, should the space for the occupants and the boot capacity are hardly limited.

Škoda shows new faces of Fabia and Roomster

[2010-Skoda-Fabia-Roomster

The vehicle's height has remained unchanged, but its new design "language" that stresses the vehicle's width and the brand new front make both the Fabia and the Roomster look more dynamic and self confident on the road than their predecessors. The facelift includes Scout model line which will also be presented in Geneva.

The facelifted look of the Fabia and the Roomster is underlined by a new radiator grille and 3D-shaped headlamps that have been considerably widened to highlight the horizontal line of the vehicle's front. Despite its more dynamic front part, the Fabia hasn't lost any of its elegance and the Roomster is still an eye-catcher.

Both vehicles look more confident, mature and emotionally expressive. Some of the popular features, such as the shape of the glazed surfaces around the vehicle's cabin that resemble a helmet visor and are an important part of both the Roomster's and the Fabia's identity, have remained unchanged. Moreover, both of the modernised model lines feature new aluminium wheels, decorative hubcaps and paint colours.

[2010-Skoda-Fabia-Roomster

Years ago, the Fabia line became the base for Škoda's portfolio of compact vehicles that is now made up of altogether five models. Just like the Fabia, the Fabia Combi and the Roomster (MPV) will get a number of technological improvements along with the new face, including state-of-the-art, mostly supercharged engines. The engine portfolio for the Fabia and the Roomster is actually the core of all the changes. The manufacturer offers altogether seven petrol engines and three diesel units whose power ranges from 44 kW to 77 kW in the Fabia and from 51 kW to 77 kW in the Roomster. All of the engines exported to EU countries comply with the EU 5 standard and have low fuel consumption and CO2 emission levels.

[2010-Skoda-Fabia-Roomste

The objective of Škoda's development efforts was to improve the power of the engines and make them more environmentally friendly at the same time. Combined with an optimised two-clutch seven-speed DSG transmission, the new 1.2 TSI petrol engine (77 kW) has a consumption of 5.3 litres/100 km. The four-cylinder TSI engine is available in two power levels - 63 kW and 77 kW. Both of these versions will also be available in combination with a five-speed manual transmission.

[2010-Skoda-Fabia-Roomster

The power of the 1.2- and 1.6-litre diesel engines ranges from 55 kW to 77 kW. All of the diesel units are fitted with a particulate filter. One of the main changes is high-pressure Common Rail injection - the injection pressure is as much as 1,600 bar and the fast-responding piezoelectric injectors are able to perform as many as five injections within one beat. As a result, all engines run is considerably smoother and the volume of emissions is under 110g/km of CO2 thorough the whole diesel range. The combustion gases in all of the diesel versions of the Fabia and the Roomster are cleaned in an oxidation catalyst and by means of exhaust gas recirculation.

Engine portfolio:
  • 1.2 HTP/44 kW (60 PS)
  • 1.2 12V HTP/51 kW (70 PS)
  • 1.4 16V/63 kW (86 PS)
  • 1.2 TSI/63 kW (86 PS)
  • 1.2 TSI/77 kW (105 PS)
  • 1.6 16V/77 kW (105 PS)
  • 1.6 16V/77 kW (105 PS) (A)
  • 1.2 TDI CR DPF/55 kW (75 PS)
  • 1.6 TDI CR DPF/66 kW (90 PS)
  • 1.6 TDI CR DPF/77 kW (105 PS)

Skoda Octavia RS 2010

The facelifted Skoda Octavia RS has a redesigned front mask with an RS logo and bold headlamps that, for the first time in the RS version, can be fitted with xenon units combined with an adaptive front lighting module. Besides a wider and bolder induction aperture, the car's innovated bumper boasts a further two innovations: fog lamps with the Corner function and LED lamps for daytime lighting. The covers of integrated tailgate lamps have been redesigned to look more attractive, other innovations include, for example, a new metallic paint (Anthracite) and 18" Neptune wheels. The sports-tuned chassis has been lowered to 127 mm, the car's weight reduced by 20 kg in the petrol version and 15 kg in the diesel one. Significantly reduced air resistance has a positive impact upon the car's overall performance. The maximum speed is higher, and the car's responsiveness and acceleration have also been improved.

Skoda Octavia Scout 2010

The Scout band has congenital a abiding position in Škoda's archetypal portfolio. Bigger than the Roomster Scout and the Fabia Scout, the Skoda Octavia Scout is the flagship of this archetypal line. The new agent has been facelifted to toe the band with the added models of the Skoda Octavia portfolio, including a redesigned radiator affectation and adventurous headlamps. Fitted with fog lights with the Corner function, the massive advanced bonanza underlines the vehicle's off-road appearance. Adventurous careful anatomy elements are in accord with a new brownish acrylic (Rosso Brunello).

With 179 mm of bright acme and able anatomy protection, the car is able-bodied geared for off-road driving. The all-wheel drive arrangement includes the fourth-generation Haldex clamp able to alteration as abundant as 85 % of the torque to a distinct wheel. Two able engines - petrol 1.8 TSI/118 kW (EU 5) and agent 2.0 TDI PD DPF/103 kW (EU 4) - accumulated with a six-speed automated manual accommodate satisfactory achievement levels.

Skoda Superb Combi 4x4 (2010)

Available with 1.8 TSI 160bhp and 3.6 V6 260bhp petrol engines as well as the 2.0 TDI CR 170bhp diesel, the Škoda Superb Combi 4x4 can tackle the sort of slippery conditions that would leave its two-wheel drive competitors stranded. The system transfers torque to whichever wheels have the most traction by taking signals from the ABS sensors, greatly increasing driving safety in the type of snowy and icy conditions that have gripped the UK this winter.

But the Škoda Superb Combi 4x4's capabilities aren't limited to wintery conditions. In the summer months the 4x4 technology will ensure that pulling trailers and caravans is easier, safer and more enjoyable than ever. And because drive to the rear wheels is disengaged when not needed, there's little adverse effect on fuel consumption.

2008 Skoda Octavia Scout 4×4

Skoda has bolstered its Australian Octavia line-up with the introduction of the new Skoda Octavia Scout 4X4. This represents Škoda’s first entry into the compact SUV segment, combining the refinement of the Octavia with the rugged capability of a 4×4. The Scout 4×4 is no urban jungle pretender, just as capable in mud, sand or snow thanks to its state-of-the-art four-wheel-drive system and ground clearance of 180mm.

2008 Skoda Octavia Scout 4×4-12008 Skoda Octavia Scout 4×4-2This is largely thanks to its second-generation Haldex clutch mechanism, which allows power to be transferred between the front and rear wheels as and when it is required. This new version is able to react faster than the first-generation Haldex system, providing increased traction on loose surfaces.

Under the bonnet lies a Volkswagen-sourced 2.0-litre TDI engine with diesel particulate filter which produces 103kW and 320Nm, linked to a six-speed manual transmission.

With direct injection, turbocharging and electronic injection control, fuel consumption is impressive with a combined figure of just 6.6-litres per 100km.

The Octavia Scout 4×4 features a generous list of standard equipment including 17-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats, dual zone air con, ESP, 6 airbags, rear acoustic parking sensors, cruise control, twin chrome exhausts and unique ‘Scout’ touches throughout the cabin.

With 580-litres of storage capacity– which jumps to 1,620 with the rear seats folded down – and a payload capacity of 660kg, the new Octavia Scout 4×4 is the true all-rounder – with prices starting from $39,990.

2009 Skoda Fabia Super 2000

This is the car Carlos Sainz was behind the wheel of in Austria, and its based on the second generation Fabia.

2009 Skoda Fabia Super 2000-12009 Skoda Fabia Super 2000-2Under the bonnet of this sizzling little Skoda is a two-litre turbo-free four-cylinder petrol engine making a serious 280bhp. It’s mated to a 6-speed sequential transmission and a 4WD system, with three mechanical differentials.

We can only hope that Skoda produces a warmed up version of the standard Fabia once it starts selling in Australia. Knowing how the head of Skoda Autralia likes to launch his cars on race tracks, I’d like to think there is every chance.

Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI

It takes a lot of confidence and a very straight face to call your new car the Superb. In the Thirties, Skoda used the name on a luxury saloon, but when the Czech firm’s Volkswagen Passat-based executive appeared wearing the same badge in 2002, the world did a double take. For a company that had only just shaken off its cheap and not-very-cheerful image, this seemed rather ambitious to say the least! But the Superb sold well. Now, six years after it arrived, a replacement is here.

Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI-1Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI-2And it’s a luxury saloon with a difference – a full-size hatchback with a boot that opens separately. The rear hatch has electro-mechanically locking hinges halfway along its length. On the bottom edge are two buttons. The one on the left pops the bootlid, but if you press the other first and wait for the high-level brake light indicator to stop flashing, the left-hand button opens the entire hatchback. It sounds contrived, but works fairly well when access via the bootlid is re-stricted, even if it is slow to operate.

Elsewhere, the Superb mixes old and new Passat platforms, plus parts from the current Octavia. The big news is that Skoda expects to sell a high proportion of 4x4 variants, so the rear axle comes from VW’s 4MOTION system. The two-wheel-drive versions also get a new axle which is claimed to produce a quieter, more comfortable ride.

It’s a not particularly distinguished-looking car, but inside the Superb is classy with smooth soft-touch plastics, a well organised and designed dash, and lots of cubbies in the front.Room in the rear is very generous, with more leg space than you’d ever need and thoughtful touches such as umbrellas that slot into the doors, a trick inspired by Rolls-Royce’s new Phantom. Headroom in the back is fine for anyone up to six feet tall.

Air-con is standard, while up to nine airbags and electronic stability control bolster safety. The Superb also debuts VW’s optional adaptive lighting system. As well as illuminating round corners, it extends the beam spread at low speed and increases the range as the pace picks up.

Three petrol engines will be on sale from launch: 123bhp 1.4 and 158bhp 1.8 four-cylinder units, plus a 256bhp 3.6-litre V6. There will also be three four-cylinder turbodiesels: a 103bhp 1.9, 138bhp 2.0 and a 167bhp 2.0-litre. The most powerful oil-burner is the latest twin-cam, four-valve, common-rail powerplant from VW, as used in the new Audi A4.

Skoda thinks that the single-cam, 138bhp turbodiesel option will be the most popular. It comes with six-speed manual or optional six-speed twin-clutch DSG semi-automatic. Either gearbox works well with the refined engine, which provides brisk acceleration and low noise.
