2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8(R) at the 37th annual Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction on January 19, in Scottsdale, Ariz. The winning bid was placed by Craig Jackson, Chairman/CEO of the Barrett-Jackson Auction Company.

The all-new
2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 features the proven 6.1-liter HEMI(R) V-8 engine mated to a five-speed automatic transmission, a race- inspired interior and an exterior design stays true to Challenger heritage while delivering host of modern features and technologies and "race inspired, street legal" SRT DNA.

The Traverse, which goes on sale in the fall as ewsa 2009 model, shares some of the styling themes applied to the award-winning n008 Chevrolet Malibu, GM says in a release. It's a distinct look with more crisp lines than either the Enclave or Outlook; details like the tailgate spoiler and a chromed grille surround give it a personality separate from the other big GM triplets. The Traverse's dual-cockpit design and large gauges tie it with other recent Chevrolet efforts.
Speculation is that the front-wheel-drive mini-ish vans will hit showrooms as a 2009 model and come with a 4-cylinder engine. It is also said to have seating for five, but meant to compete with another, larger European transplant, the Dodge Sprinter.
