Exhibiting more venomous images of its upcoming Venom GT supercar, Hennessey is geared up to spread more poison in the auto world. This beast gets its might from a twin-turbo version of the Dodge Viper's 8.4L V10 engine rated at 1,000 horsepower and is expected to mate with either a six-speed manual or sequential gearbox.
This 1,225kg mid-engine chassis will provide the proper means of distributing the horsepower into speed at a power/weight ratio of just 1.225kg per hp. Hennessey claims will see the car reach 100km/h from rest in just 2.5 seconds and up to 300km/h in around 14 seconds.
The Venom GT will be a much more engaging sports car to drive by challenging the driver with 1000+ HP in a chassis that is nearly 1500 lbs lighter than the Veyron. You can expect to see concept version of the Venom GT in 2009 with a production version following shortly after.
