A racing version of
Audi's awesome R8 had to come along sooner or later, but we didn't think it'd look this good. In the power stakes,
Creventic has been fairly conservative with the
CR-8 - output is up by 13bhp to 427bhp while the factory-installed low-gear restrictor has been removed.

But there are a bunch of other racing enhancements to prepare the R8 for its racing shakedown in the Dubai 24 Hour, including a 90-litre fuel tank, extra carbon fibre and, best of all, a race-spec sequential gearbox.
Creventic says the first two
CR-8s will be delivered in early 2008, with more to be built to customer specifications throughout the year.
Better be well behaved if you want Santa to bring you one next year.
