Pete Shepherd Kentucky NASCAR CTS and ARCA preview

Peter Shepherd returns to the seat of the No. 50 Northern Tool + Equipment Ford this weekend at Kentucky Speedway.

Shepherd will make his first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start at Kentucky Speedway in Saturday night’s Built Ford Tough 225.

The No. 50 will once again carry the colors of Northern Tool + Equipment this weekend, in a reverse scheme of teammate Erik Darnell’s No. 99 Ford.

Shepherd will pull double duty this weekend, competing in both the ARCA RE/MAX Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races.

The No. 50 team is bringing chassis RK225-33 to Kentucky. This chassis last raced at Texas, where T.J. Bell started ninth and finished 23rd.

Shepherd recorded his best NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series finish at Memphis last week, coming home 15th.

PETER SHEPHERD ON KENTUCKY SPEEDWAY. . .
“I’ve never raced at Kentucky, but I’ve heard a lot of good things about it. Everyone seems to really like racing there. Getting to race in the ARCA RE/MAX Series race on Friday night should help our effort on Saturday night. We had a great race at Memphis last week, and we’d love to get another good finish at Kentucky.”

MATT PUCCIA ON KENTUCKY SPEEDWAY. . .
“Peter’s never raced at Kentucky before, but having him in both the truck and ARCA car this weekend will be great. Kentucky is a driver’s track, it’s got multiple grooves. We’ll do what we can to get Peter acclimated to the track as quickly as possible then see what we can do on Saturday night.”
