Cadillac XTS Platinum concept

General Motors exhibited a concept sedan called the XTS Platinum at the 2010 North American International Auto Show after privately unveiling the vehicle to automotive journalists on August 11, 2009.



The concept is all wheel drive and is powered by a 3.6 L (220 cu in) V6 plug-in hybrid system estimated at 350 hp (260 kW).Its interior is based on hand cut-and-sewn materials and uses Organic Light-Emitting Diode (O-LED) displays in place of traditional gauges and screens.

2007 Tribun Concept Design by Stefan Schulze

(from Stefan Schulze) This is a Vector W8 Redesign. I called it Tribun as tribute to the original W8. My point of view was a 2007 W8, so it looks like an actual design. The engine could be the Audi Q7 V8 Tdi or the next coming V12 Tdi. I think it is a very interesting idea and I am interested in knowing how fast it could be.

Weber Carbon-Fiber Concept

MONACO — Top Marques Monaco is the show that tops them all. It is only about the fastest, most exclusive sports cars in the world. And it is the perfect venue to introduce new ideas.

The Swiss company Weber Sportcars had announced in advance that it would unveil an entirely self-developed carbon-fiber car at the show. The reality exceeded even the wildest expectations with an organic, and completely individual — one might say bizarre — appearance.

The 177.2-inch two-seater measures 80.3 inches wide and 45.3 inches high. The entire car was designed and built in-house, including the 143-pound aluminum chassis and carbon-fiber body.

Under the tweaked hood lurks a supercharged 900-horsepower, 7.0-liter engine. Its 775 pound-feet of torque enables the 2,425-pound coupe to get from zero to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. Top speed is claimed to be over 249 mph.

There are four fuel tanks that will hold a total of 29 gallons of gasoline — which we'll bet a driver can go through quickly at the speeds at which this car would be driven.

Pricing of the forthcoming car has not yet been made public, but it has been revealed that standard spec will include active four-wheel drive, traction control, a rearview camera and a rain sensor.

Delta 4x4 Concept Off-Roaders

At the Bodensee Tuning Show here, also known as "international event for auto tuning, lifestyle, and club scene," SUV specialist Delta4x4 is unveiling a trio of concepts for the Opel Antara, Mitsubishi L200 and Nissan Navara.

Orthodontic in their appeal, the concepts have gigantic chromed grilles and body-lift kits, along with cinematic names: the Nissan Navara is the King Kong Cab, the Mitsubishi L200 is the Big Baboon and the Opel Antara is...the Opel Antara. Delta4x4 calls them vehicles "that you don't have to look for in a parking lot."

The concepts get PIAA-Rallye headlights, fender flares, hand-polished stainless steel side steps, front bar and roll bars in the pickup's bed and a stainless sport exhaust with dual side outlets. All three also get 20-inch wheels and tires.

The Navara gets a tuned engine with power increased from 174 to 200 horsepower.
