2008 Scion tC

The 2008 Scion tC Spec Package, which the Toyota brand describes as a "blank canvas for the tuner community," will start at $15,300 for a manual-transmission model. The automatic-transmission model will start at $16,100. Toyota said the prices reflect an increase of $300 over the previous model.

The price does not include destination, which Scion says varies depending on location. The base MSRP for the core-model tC is $17,000 for the manual-transmission model and $17,800 for the automatic-transmission model, an increase of $600.

The tC gets cosmetic upgrades, including a new upper mesh grille and projector-style low-beam headlights with black trim. The cabin gets a deep orange combination meter on the instrument panel, silver-colored accent trim, updated seat fabric and a Pioneer subwoofer in the cargo area. Apple iPod connectivity becomes standard on all 2008 Scion models. A navigation system is a new option for the 2008 model year.
