Mitsubishi just introduced their new
"i" minicar in Japan. First shown at the Toyko Motor Show as a concept, the tiny "Kei-class" car is now in showrooms.


The spiffy "i" was developed as an innovative Premium Small Car that successfully overcomes the tradeoffs traditionally associated with the category: design and comfortable interior space; comfortable interior space and impact safety.
Note that it has a rear-mid engine, as shown in the cut-away image. It can be had with either 2WD or 4WD.
