11th in Little 500; Homecoming At Delaware Next For Ryan Litt

From Litt Racing P.R. (Wednesday June 6, 2006) – Ryan Litt endured a difficult and eventful night at the Anderson Speedway to come home in the 11th position in the gruelling Little 500 event during the US Memorial Day weekend.

After getting caught up in an on-track incident, dealing with a disastrous pit stop, and overcoming a problem with his seat belts that caused severe back pain, Ryan and his team were happy to be running at the finish and able to return home in one piece, with the knowledge that a top-5 finish was definitely in the cards had Lady Luck smiled on the team even just a little bit.

The 20 year old is excited about the next event on the team’s schedule and his first event with a wing on the #07 BS&B Radiator, OTC/SPX Tools Beast/Claxton sprint car this season. The event is the team’s home race at the Delaware Speedway, just 30 miles from the team's home base in Lyons, Ontario, Canada on Friday, June 8th and is the only visit by the Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprints tour to Delaware this season. Ryan and the #07 BS&B Radiator/OTC-SPX Tools team are excited to be performing in front of their home fans, family, and friends.

Delaware is a special place for Ryan for another reason besides being his home track. The ½ mile paved oval was the site of his very first event behind the wheel of a winged sprint car in 2005. Ryan was 16th fastest in time trials that night, finished 3rd in his heat after leading briefly, and finished 14th in the feature after a late race spin took him out of contention for a top 10 finish – Not too bad for a rookie.

Last season, during his full time campaign on the AVSS tour, Ryan improved significantly on his previous performance by taking the feature win at Delaware on June 9th, 2006 - his first feature win in a winged sprint car. Ryan later took home another winged sprint car feature win last season, on Labour Day weekend at the Berlin Raceway in Michigan.

Ryan and the team would like to thank all their sponsors for their continued support during Ryan and the #07 Beast/Claxton Sprinter’s 2007 season, including OTC/SPX Tools, BS&B Radiator, BRR Media, BOC Gases, Leaf Racewear, and Kolors by Kropy.
